Jason Bateman (Up in the Air, Arrested Development), Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Jason Sudeikis (Hall Pass) team up to achieve every employees dream: getting rid of the big wigs in Horrible Bosses.

Management candidate Nick Hendricks (Bateman) has been slaving away under the tyranny of his twisted supervisor Dave Harken (Kevin Spacey), only to find out there is no promotion in sight. Meanwhile, dental assistant Dale Arbus (Day) has been struggling to resist the overt advances of his sexpot boss, Julia Harris (Jennifer Aniston) and accountant Kurt Buckman (Sudeikis) has just learned that his company's depraved new owner, Bobby Pellit (Colin Farrell) is bent on environmental destruction.  Trying to save their jobs and their sanity, the three friends hatch a plan to get rid of their bosses….permanently.

Darkly Comic Hit

I think we can all connect with the messages in 'Horrible Bosses'. Haven't we all had to deal with a 'superior' who was inept, lousy or just plain, well, horrible. Heven't we all seen people get ahead just because they know and are friends with the right people?

Horrible Bosses takes these sentiments to the next level, with the employees themselves deciding to kill their bosses. Something that wouldn't work with a lesser cast, however the charisma and camaraderie works wonders here. The ever excellent Jason Bateman, ably supported by Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day, make this a pleasure to watch.

It's evident though that it's the bosses themselves that are having the most fun with their characters. Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston and, inparticluar, Colin Farrell are having a ball! They are a delight to watch, even whilst they are portraying such disgusting people.

Whilst this is a comedy, it has a particular dark edge to it, something that didn't work on Observe and Report or The Cable Guy. However the cast ensure that this is a fun watch from start to finish.

With a nice selection of extras, this is a blu-ray well worth picking up.
