Blomkvist is a disgraced journalist who has recently lost a libel case. Suddenly and out of the blue he receives a mysterious phone call about a disappearance from 40 years earlier. After much convincing, he finally decides to take the case and find out what happened to the woman. Lisbeth is a computer hacker who has investigated Blomlvist herself on behalf of others.
Suddenly they're thrown in to a world where they must learn to work together to solve the mystery before they become victims themselves.
