Peter Kay is like Marmite. You either love him or hate him.
When he first came on to the stand up comedy scene, I was a fan of his but not now. After seeing three or four of his stand up shows one thing has become very clear.
Peter Kay has hardly any material. Each DVD that gets released with his name on nearly always regurgitates 90% of the jokes that have been on other releases. I understand that comedians will use their favorite jokes again and again but there's a limit. There's also a vast difference between using your favorite jokes and rehashing the same show over and over again.
Another thing that really put me off is the fact that the camera person seems obsessed with showing the audience again and again. Personally if I buy a DVD of a comedian, I want to see the comedian not thee audience.
All in all I would urge anyone to avoid this release and use the money to buy something else.
