Probably the most memorable opening theme in television animation history and definitely Marvel's most famous character . . . it's your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man! Enjoy his stunning first appearance on colour television in 1967 and some action-packed two-part tales on this classic DVD, featuring the first six episodes from Season One.

Freelance photographer Peter Parker transforms into the costumed crime fighter Spider-Man, to risk his life against the deadliest foes from Marvel® Comics including Dr. Octopus, Mysterio and the Green Goblin , whilst constantly fending off criminal accusations from his newspaper boss J. Jonah Jameson.

Classic Spider-Man Adventures

The first six episodes from season one are included here for all Spidey fans old and new.

Made in the 60's, the animation may be very basic in places but still manages to create some lasting images. The transfer here has done a brilliant job with the animation as well, the colors are bright and clear as if we were watching these cartoons the very day they were made.

Some of the most famous faces in the Spider-Man rogues gallery make appearances in these first few episodes. We get appearances from Electro, Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin and many more. There are even some new criminals popping up too although some with more success than others.

Another good thing about these episodes are they really do look like a comic book brought to life.

While, some may say I'm over rating this due to some great memories of watching reruns of these with my father, I was just as entertained watching these today as my son was.

Highly recommended for Spider-Man fans and anyone who wants to sit back and watch something exciting and colorful with their children.
